Who is she?

Meet the writer and woman behind the scenes: Alejandra Salemi

I feel like many millennial or Gen Z-ers have dreamt about starting a blog. I know that it is something that I have debated for over five years, since my freshman year in college. I have always been a writer and have found a lot of power through written word.

While I wouldn’t say that I am an expert writer, I do think that thoughts should be shared. And with the past 6 years being pretty well detailed through pages and pages of journals that are now collecting dust in my bookshelf, I thought it was time to start sharing my stories and perspectives.

I invite you to join me in this space to converse, think, and engage with our faith and our understanding of Public Health in new ways. We will cover tough topics like mental illness, suicidality, and harmful theology. Hopefully we can name the unnameable and find space to begin chipping away at these topics.

I hope that you will find a source of hope and light in these words as well as finding ways to keep exploring your understandings and expand your perspectives.
